Police arraign Nyanya and Kuje bombing suspects

The Nigeria Police Force have arraigned five suspects who masterminded the Oct 2, 2015 twin bombings that occurred in Kuje and Nyanaya areas of Abuja.

The Police IG, Solomon Arase, speaking in his office yesterday said "after careful and discreet investigations into the recent bombings that took place in some parts of Abuja, the Nigeria Police Force will on October 22, 2015 take the suspects to
the Federal High Court, Abuja for prosecution."

According to the IGP, the suspects were arrested at Karamajiji village, behind National Military Cemetery along Airport Road, Abuja.

Among items recovered from them were an iPad, Laptop and phone believed to be used to facilitate their operations.

The IGP who said the arrest was made possible by the proactive nature of the newly formed Intelligence Response Team.

He further warned Nigerian to avoid the temptation of picking up iPads, phones or laptops as terrorists now use these items in bomb manufacturing, knowing how attractive they are to people.
