President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed that he has no objection to the conditions set by the Senate for the screening of his ministerial nominees.
The Senate had on Thursday adopted the conditions for the screening and confirmation of the ministerial nominees scheduled to commence on Tuesday.
President Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant (on the Senate), Senator Ita Enang, said that intense consultations were on between the nominees and senators from their respective states.
“The Senate is free to set their criteria for the nominees." he said. "Our job is to work with the respective senators. We will not be disturbed about it because it is their job. The senators are within their rights,”
Speaking on speculations about ongoing friction between President Buhari and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Enang said “There is no rift between the president and Saraki,”
