Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has said that he wants 23 year old, Neymar to spend the rest of his career at the Camp Nou.
Reacting to rumours linking Neymar with a move to Manchester United, Bartomeu said "We do not want [Neymar] to leave, he is young, we want him to retire here, at our club. He must stay here." ESPN FC has reported.
He said that aside the rumours, no bid from United has been received, nor has the player's camp been in touch with Barcelona's board to communicate any interest.
Bartomeu however said that talks over a new contract will open soon in a bid to try signing the player into another long-term contract with Barcelona.
"Over the next months we will talk about a new contract for Neymar," he said. "He must stay here, not just three years, but five or 10 years."
Neymar is currently being linked with a move to Manchester United after Pedro signed a deal with Chelsea last week.
