Abandoned mother with her three set of twins
The man who ran away from his family in February after his wife, Ruth informed him that she was having their third set of twins has finally returned home to unite with his family.

Emeka Uche, who goes by the name Citizen, in Agege area of Lagos state, had on Wednesday returned back home after abandoning his four children (two sets of twins) and wife who gave birth to a third set of twins.

The run-away father, said: “It was not easy for me. I thought of killing myself on several occasions, but here I am carrying my twins for the very first time since they were born three months ago.”

“When I left, I went to my hometown where I spent a month. After that, I came back to Lagos but I didn’t go to my wife. I was squatting with a friend in Oko-Oba in Agege, not very far from my house.

I was that close to my wife and kids but I refused to go home because I already made up my mind not to return until I can proffer a solution to our poverty, how to train my kids and cater for my family. I was ashamed too, to go back to that house to see them after I’ had abandoned them for months."

Emeka one day spoke with his wife over the phone and was told she had moved out of their old house. “I had to go to the former house to ask if anyone had the address to the new place my wife moved to. It was then I got the address and like a prodigal, I went back to my family”, he said.

Emeka's wife has expressed gratitude to God and the Lagos state government for uplifting her family. In her words “I have never thought of living in such a house where you have your kitchen and toilet all to yourself. I moved in here on Sunday and I am so happy and grateful”.

“What more can I wish for, except for my husband to come and enjoy this good life with me?  I have promised God that I will do my best to grow the business I just started. I want to grow and be able to help women with similar cases as mine. I want to be able to impact their lives in future as my life was touched and changed”, she added.
