Boko Haram insurgents raided three communities, killing about 25 people on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.
According to Reuters, fighters in pick-up trucks attacked the town of Dille and two smaller communities in the Askira/Uba area in Borno state.
Vigilantes however resisted the attack on Dille that came around 1 p.m. local time, sources said. The attacks on the smaller nearby communities came early on Tuesday.
