A fire outbreak recently occurred at Alaba International Market in the Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State. The incident happened on Friday morning, and some traders in the market had to resort to self-help to put out the fire before the arrival of emergency responders. Although the fire affected some shanties in the market, none of the stores were affected.

According to Margaret Adeseye, the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the agency representatives couldn't enter the area to perform their duties, and as a result, the incident turned into a security issue. She added that it was crucial to note that only shanties were on fire, not stores.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service is collaborating with security personnel to resolve the situation. It is important to note that prompt action is necessary in cases like this to avoid loss of lives and property.
