Girls abducted by unknown gunmen from Ikorodu school rescued.

The three (3) teenage girls abducted from their school in Ikorodu on March 1, have been rescued by the Police.

According to reports, the girls were rescued in the early hours of Sunday at Igbokuta area of Lagos State and there are no reports yet as to whether they have been handed over to their families.

The students were kidnapped around 8p.m. on March 1st, from their school, Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary School, Ikorodu, by unknown gunmen.

The kidnappers were reported to have demanded for N200 million ransom which was later reduced to 20 million each and later 10 million.

The school’s principal said that, the ‎gunmen gained entry into the school after destroying a part of the school’s fence and shooting sporadically in the air to scare away potential rescuers.

The girls have been reported to be in good health condition and have been taken to an undisclosed hospital for proper medical examination.

Three suspects, according to the police, have been arrested in connection with the matter.
