The Department of State Service (DSS) yesterday presented two suspected abductors of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Chief Olu Falae.

Falae who was also once the Minister of Finance and a presidential aspirant was abducted on his farm at Ilado village, Akure in Ondo State, on Sept 21, by armed men and was later released.

The abductors had requested for a N100 million ransom which was later reduced to
N90 million.

The suspects were arrested on Oct. 5 at J.Zebra hotel in Lokoja according to a DSS operative.

He added that the abductor's action was not targeted at Falae as a statesman and prominent Yoruba leader, that they were mere criminals.

The DSS therefore appealed to Nigerians to be responsible in their comments about sensitive issues bordering on national security.

Efforts were being intensified to bring to justice all those involved in the criminal activity the DSS operative said.

The suspects, who admitted committing the crime, said one Dantijo who was part of the gang ran away with the N5 million ransom paid to secure his freedom.
