Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal wants to stick with his plan to retire in 2017, saying any delay would be "very hard" on his wife.
Though he hinted he does not know what the future holds, he is very reluctant to break a promise to his wife that he would retire in 2017

"I promised my wife to go with her to our paradise [a villa in Portugal] so it shall be very hard for me to deny that promise.
"Next year I am 65 and say I stay a year longer, it shall be very hard to my wife."
Sir Alex Ferguson has expressed last week that the Man Utd manager would find it difficult to leave, saying: "You never know what Louis will do. When you get the bug it's hard to leave."
Van Gaal however has two main objectives before retirement -- to win the Champions League and the Premier League.
