Buhari to discuss regional security, trade and economy on visit to Ghana on Monday

President Muhammadu Buhari will visit Accra, the capital of Ghana on Monday on an official visit.

According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina, President Buhari is expected to meet with his Ghanaian counterpart, Dramani Mahama and Nigerian entrepreneurs in Ghana.

Top on the list of discussion are issues of bilateral relations, regional security, trade and other issues of common interest to Nigeria, Ghana and other members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The President is also expected to meet with members of the Nigerian community in Ghana and entrepreneurs before returning to Abuja on Monday evening. 

Those on his entourage are the National Security Adviser, Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd.) and the Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defence, Justice and Industry, Trade and Investment.
