Oworonshoki Lagos helicopter crash
A helicopter has crashed into the lagoon at Oworonshoki area of Lagos state, leaving four people dead out of the total of twelve people on it.


Lagos state emergency rescue officials confirmed that six people were rescued from the debris of the crash.

Unconfirmed reports however have it that that there were 12 people - two pilots and 10 passengers - among whom six have been rescued and four of them, unfortunately
died. There is no report yet on the remaining two.

The ill-fated helicopter belonging to Bristow Helicopters, departed Escravos in Delta State, and was scheduled to arrive Lagos at 3:35pm.

It however crashed around 3pm on Wednesday after a loud noise before nose-diving into the Lagos lagoon, some metres away from the popular third mainland bridge.
