The newly-appointed Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Emmanuel Ibe Kachukwu, has sacked eight Group Executive Directors of the corporation replacing them with just four.
Those sacked are Mr. Ian Udoh - GED, Refining and Petrochemicals; Mr. Adebayo Ibirogba - GED, Engineering and Technical team; Dr. David Ige - GED, Gas and Power; Dr. Attahir Yusuf - GED, Business Development.
Others are Dr. Dan Efebo - GED, Corporate Services; Mr. Bernard Otti - GED, Finance and Accounts; Ms. Aisha Abdurrahman - GED, Commerce and Investments and Mr. Joseph Dawha - GED, Exploration and Production.
Kachukwu was appointed just yesterday as the Group Managing Director of the NNPC by President Muhammadu Buhari and barely 48 hours, has ejected the eight executive directors appointed by former president Goodluck Jonathan in March 2014.
They have been replaced by only four who are Mr. Denis Nnamdi - GED, Exploration and Production; Bankole Komolafe - GED, Commercial and Investment; Isiaka Abdulrazak - GED, Finance and M.K. Baru - GED, Refining and Engineering.
