Boko Haram: Army arrest two fleeing terrorists with pick-up vehicles.

The Nigerian Army’s (NA) Directorate of Public Relations has said on Wednesday that it arrested two fleeing key members of Boko Haram terrorists, with two pick-up vehicles in Geidam, Yobe state. 

According to the Army on its official twitter handle, (@HQNigerianArmy) it said “Following reports and distress calls about suspected movements and planned attack by Boko Haram terrorists around Damasak, the Nigerian Air Force conducted air surveillance and armed reconnaissance, while the troops have been reinforced”

The Army also claimed that stories making rounds in the media about alleged massacre/drowning of hundreds in Yobe state could not be substantiated.

“Stories going round the media of alleged massacre/drowning of over a hundred civilians in Kukuwa-Gari, Yobe State, cannot be substantiated” the Army said.

“In the fight against Boko Haram terrorists, the #NA troops are also ensuring security for law abiding citizens in the affected areas” the Army PR handle said, while assuring the public of its commitment.

“In a related development,” the Army said, “our troops have just arrested 2 fleeing key members of #BH terrorists with 2 pick-up vehicles in Geidam in Yobe State.

“Both terrorists are being interrogated.” the Army added.
