Apple has acknowledged a manufacturing defect with some of its iPhone 6 Plus models sold late last year, causing photos to look blurry.

It has therefore posted a support page on its website, acknowledging that certain iPhone 6 Plus cameras have a component which could fail.

"The affected units fall into a limited serial number range and were sold primarily between September 2014 and January 2015." the company said.

Along with the embarrassing acknowledgment, is however, an easy way to find out if your iPhone 6 Plus is eligible for the free replacement, by using a serial number checker.

“If your iPhone 6 Plus is producing blurry photos and falls into the eligible serial number range, Apple will replace your device’s iSight camera, free of charge.” the company further said.
