Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has stated that the just concluded National Executive Council Meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ended peacefully and those who had expected it to end in rancour have been greatly disappointed. He stated this in a brief chat with journalists after the meeting which held at the National Headquarters of the party in Abuja.

The NEC meeting is part of the efforts by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to solve the crisis that has rocked the party since Senator Bukola Saraki emerged Senate President and Hon. Yakubu Dogara emerged Speaker of the House of Representatives.

The National Leader of the party and former Governor of Lagos State Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the former Interim Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande were however not present at the meeting.

Although, President Muhammadu Buhari left before the end of the meeting, Governor Oshiomhole emphasized that the President leaving Aso Rock to attend the meeting has further shown that the party is supreme, insisting that the outcome of the meeting is assurance that the APC would overcome the present challenges and come out stronger.
