According to latest reports, Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh is expected to recall Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel for September's AFCON qualifier against Tanzania.
Mikel Obi was left out in the last game against Chad by Stephen Keshi, sparking a lot of criticisms. Keshi however assured that he had no problem with Mikel, saying he spoke with hime before inviting his co-players for the game.
Keshi was quoted to have stated that "In September we might need his services if he is available."
"Mikel Obi will be part of Oliseh’s immediate plans, beginning with the AFCON qualifier in Tanzania next month" a top official had stated. “But instead of giving him a free role as he has been given in the Eagles in the past, he will play as a defensive midfielder, like he does for his club.”
