The Nigeria Police Force in Abuja said it would release the report on alleged forgery of Senate Rules by some principal officers of the Senate as soon as investigation was concluded.
Speaking on the matter in an interview with NAN, Force Public Relations Officer, CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, on Wednesday assured that the police would release the report of the investigation into the allegation of forgery.
Ojukwu said that the police had talked to all the people involved in the case and would make the findings public in a matter of days.
Weeks ago, the Senate Unity Forum, petitioned the police on the alleged forgery of the Senate Rule Book and had expressed concern over the slow pace of investigation into the allegations.
The Senate Rules Book according to the forum, was amended without the knowledge of the Seventh session of the Senate under the leadership of Senator David Mark.
The illegal amendment they claimed was made to favour the emergence of Sen. Ike Ekweremadu as Deputy Senate President and did not follow due process.
