The Ansar-ud-deen Society of Nigeria (ADS) has congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of Ramadan, while appealing to Boko Haram to allow peace reign in the country.
This appeal was made in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Muibi Adebanjo, and made available to the newsmen in Ibadan, on Saturday.
According to the statement, “the nation cannot develop nor grow in a situation of insecurity,” urging the insurgents to "sheath their swords" and make their "agitation known to the government through dialogue.”
ADS, also congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast, enjoining Muslims worldwide to embrace the righteous ways shown during Ramadan.
The Islamic organization further commended President Muhammadu Buhari for a good start, saying the “people should be patient with him as he delivers his electoral promises for national growth and development.”
The organization also advocated for the diversification of the nation’s economy to forestall over-dependence on oil by growing every sector of the nation.
The group enjoined its members worldwide to co-exist peacefully while remaining steadfast in prayers.
