Mr Oluyinka Ogundimu, lawmaker in Lagos State, on Sunday urged the Federal Government to employ all available options including negotiations to free the abducted Chibok girls in Borno, by terrorists since April 14, 2014.
Ogundimu (APC-Agege 2) of the Lagos House of Assembly made the plea an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
The lawmaker spoke against the backdrop of President Muhammadu Buhari resolve to negotiate with the genuine leaders of the terrorists to free the girls.
The president, during a recent four-day official visit to the U.S., told the Cable News Network that his government was ready to dialogue with the terror group.
According to Buhari, he is ready to negotiate if the talks would lead to the release of the schoolgirls kidnapped over a year ago in Government Secondary School, Chibok, by the terror group.

The lawmaker said: "No Nigerian who had his child among the abducted school girls would oppose the option of negotiation.
"I feel that if anyone of us has our child or children among the girls, we would want the government to go to any length to bring them back safely. So, whatever they could do to bring the girls back should be done.
"If Boko Haram members are visible for negotiation, we should go for it regardless of what the government has done in the past and limit the shedding of blood.’’
On the President's visit to the U.S., he said that Nigeria needed help to overcome its challenges and recovery of looted funds. He, however, said that the president should define the extent of the collaborations.
Ogundimu advised the president to go about his probe of previous government in a democratic manner.
