The Police has confirmed that a joint team of Police Anti-Cattle Rustling Squad, the Military and DSS raided a criminal hideout in Birnin Gwari area of Kaduna state, where 1,000 stolen livestock made up of cows and goats were recovered.
In an effort to tackle the incessant acts of cattle rustling in the region, which has led to loss of lives and destruction of properties, efforts to stamp out cattle rustlers in the area are being intensified.

In a similar vein, three fleeing suspects have been arrested by a team of Police Mobile Force men at Kuyello area.
Three locally-made revolver pistols with cartridges, 65 cows & 15 goats were recovered from them. Four other fleeing suspects were also arrested at Giwa axis of the area according to the police.
