Diezani Allison Madueke's nephew abducted by unknown gunmen

Unknown gunmen today abducted the nephew of the Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Allison Madueke at around 12.05am. They stormed Yanaka community, the paternal hometown of the Minister in Yenegoa Local Government area of Bayelsa State. 

The abductors were said to have come at midnight for Minister’s brother Chief Monume, however, when they could not lay hold of him, took his son Bozie, away. No one has been able to ascertain where he has been taken to and the motive behind the abduction is yet unknown. 

The gunmen were said to have gone straight to the victim’s home and fired gunshots in the air before
taking the victim away. Mr. Asinim Buswatt, the Police Public Relation Officer confirmed the incident, saying, “At about 12:30am of today (Thursday), one Mrs. Maxwell Agama of Yenaka community reported that his son, one Joseph Agama, aged 20, was abducted by some unknown gunmen. 

The PPRO further added that “We are still working to know the number of the gunmen that carried out the attack. We don’t know the motive behind it but our men in the marine division have been alerted of the incident.”
