The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission Prof. Attahiru Jega on Thursday disclosed that the 2015 general elections slated for March 28 and April 11 will hold as scheduled, emphasizing on the fact that there are no justifiable reasons for another postponement.
Jega disclosed this at a national briefing of accredited observers for the 2015 general elections in Abuja yesterday. He stressed that INEC had successfully achieved over 81% PVC collection across the country.
The INEC chairman further expressed confidence in the
successful conduct of the forthcoming elections. He stressed that INEC “will do everything to ensure that the elections are successful". He urged election observers to abide by the guidelines for observing elections in the country, noting that INEC had undertaken processes that would ensure the elections are successful.

He further stressed that INEC has so far had wide consultations with stakeholders to ensure success in the conduct of the elections and would still hold a national stakeholder’s summit next Tuesday to discuss issues related to the 2015 general elections.
