The vice presidential candidate of the All progressive congress Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has said a picture of a man pictured with him on a visit to his home town in Ogun state was neither his brother nor father.

The picture which was taken by an APC cameraman sparked controversies on social media with some pro-Jonathan
supporters questioning the APC Vice Presidential candidate’s ability to run Nigeria effectively if he cannot take care of his relative.

In tweets on his official twitter page on Monday, Prof. Osinbajo said the man in question is neither his father nor his blood relative.

His tweets read “He isn't my father, brother uncle or blood relative. But he is a Nigerian father. He deserves our respect.”

“Whilst the old man is not biologically related to me, we are related because he is a Nigerian and someone's father”.

He continued “By the way, my own father died on the 22nd of July, 1996. My mother, who is 82 years old, is alive and well in Lagos’.
