The Independent National Electoral Commission has said the number of people that have collected their Permanent Voter Cards has risen to 52,419,495.
The Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Mr. Kayode Idowu, told Punch in in an interview that the figure represented 76.15 per cent of 68,833,476 registered voters.
Recall that INEC had on Tuesday said 52,275,367 people had collected their PVCs out of 68,833,476 voters.
He disclosed that card readers would be deployed in 152,031 polling units across the country during the March 28 and April 11 elections.
Idowu said that INEC had procured 26,000 extra card readers.
