NEMA provides relief materials to IDPs along border towns

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in its efforts to reach out and provide succor has provided relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) along Nigeria’s borders the Agency revealed on Saturday.

The Agency's North-East zonal office delivered some of the items in Diffa, a border town in Niger Republic which hosts IDPs from Nigeria.

According to the agency, "Some of the items delivered to the IDPS included tents, clothing, cooking utensils and food items.

"The team was received by Le secretaire General of Diffa Hassan Ardo Ide on behalf of the Government of Niger Republic"

The items were distributed by the agency in the celebration of Muslim festival, Eid-Kabir (Sallah) in order to provide succour to the Internally Displaced Persons living along the border towns.
