Reports have it confirmed that Pep Guardiola will become Manchester City’s manager from the 2016/2017 season.

City have eyed the former Barcelona boss for a long time, however they failed to land him after they finished second last season.

Guardiola is believed to be ready to quit the Allianz Arena, because of tensions between him and the Bayern top brass.

Gurardiola has signed a contract that finally brings him to the Premier League, when his current deal with Bayern Munich expires.

In April, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, insisted that the 44-year-old would never leave for “a club like City”, but when questioned about the new rumours, he was less convincing.

“I don’t worry about the rumours,” he said. “It’s just proof of his quality. “But I can’t imagine that Guardiola leaves for a club like Manchester City. I am sure that he will be team manager at Bayern at least until June 30, 2016″. Rummenigge said.
