Mr Calistus Obi has formally handed over the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to Mr Haruna Jauro as acting Director-General and Chief Executive Officer.
The handover ceremony took place on Monday, July 27 where Obi pledged his loyalty to the new Acting Director-General and urged all staff of the Agency to support Jauro.
Jauro has expressed gratitude to President Buhari for the opportunity to serve the nation in his new capacity, thanking the staff of the Agency for their commitment and requesting their cooperation in order to realize the agency's mandate.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that until his appointment, Jauro was the Executive Director, Finance and Administration in the Agency.
Meanwhile, Jauro is to oversee the affairs of the Agency until a substantive director-general is appointed.
We wish Jauro the very best serving the nation in a new capacity.
